We wish all our readers a Happy Eastern Holidays and.... ...a Happy New Year. Well, almost. The Eastern Holiday is not much celebrated in Thailand, but only a few days later on April, 13th, 2007 Thailand celebrates it's Songkran Festival, also known as Thailands New Year. There will be a lot of water splashing all over the country and tourists who are in Ao Nang or Thailand for the first time should be advised to leave expensive and sensetive equipment like cameras, mobile phones etc. for safety in the hotel room. Also in a few days, on April, 9th, 2007 the Marine Conservation Centre in Ao Nam Mao, only a few Kilometres from Ao Nang, will open it's doors for the first time after a complet renovation. That's why we don't have a picture of an Easter Egg but of that nice Clown Fish, which now marks the entrance of the Marine Conservation Centre, so that you can't miss it. Tourists are in Ao Nang now, should not miss it. (please also see our article on page 2 for more infos).
